I Want Know Who Visited my profile recently?

Who visited my profile?

Have you ever wanted to know “who visited my Facebook profile?”  Well, the truth is that many of us have wondered this same thing, but in short, the answer is no.  I’ll continue on in this article to explain why.  There may be apps claiming to do this but they are just ripping you off!

With the large amount of requests of people wanting to know who visited their profile, Facebook has replied with an answer that seems to be their firm and steadfast answer on anyone that wants an app to find which friends visited their profile.  Not only would making an app like this cause privacy issues, but it would also take away from the true reason for Facebook.

Facebook wants it’s users to actually mingle together, but when a user wants to know who visited their profile recently, this takes away from the reason Facebook was made.  Facebook in the beginning was made and designed to bring people together in a social way.  If users knew who visited their profile, they would spend as much time on their website trying to figure this out by simply socializing.  Keep reading for further explanations on why Facebook is saying NO to such features!

But I see apps claiming to let me know who visited my profile recently?  You might be disappointed, however Facebook has no plans for allowing this feature in development of any certain app.  In fact it defeats privacy on a number of levels!

Facebook isn’t a dating site, and also wont do similar actions as those sites.  Many dating sites help propel its users by using apps that let you Know Who Visited a profile recently, However this should be left to those dating sites.  To be honest, its a little weird wanting to Know Who Visited your profile recently in the beginning!

Facebook Has responded and given the answer below:

Facebook does not provide applications or groups with the technical means to allow people to track profile views or see statistics on how often a particular piece of content has been viewed and by whom. If an application claims to provide this functionality, please report the application by going to the application’s About page and clicking “Report Application” at the bottom of the page, or by clicking “Report” at the bottom of any canvas page within the application.

Applications you use may ask for permission to access content from your News Feed and Wall. Granting this permission does not allow applications to see who has viewed your profile. It simply allows applications to see which friends have interacted with posts, such as which friends liked or engaged with a particular wall post.

Summary:

If you want to which cute girl is sneaking up on your profile, you will just have to start guessing because even though many apps will claim to tell you who is looking at your profile, the truth is they can’t!  Most of the time when you approve those apps, they take control of your entire profile, posting trash all day on profile page.  This wont make you happy at all, so don’t install ANY such app ever!

You won’t ever be able to know who recently visited your profile.  Yes its sad, but no you can’t see that!

Facebook would open its own app to show this specific information if it wanted to, but to this day, there is no possible way to know, and if you are asking “Who Visited my profile recently?”, the answer is it may never possible!  Facebook would also have to give IP addresses of people trying to see your public profile page and that would abridge a lot of the provacy updates that they have written into their TOU’s.  Facebook friend analytics isn’t possible.  They wont ever make anything like this!

Thanks for reading the post: I Want Know Who Visited my profile recently?.  If you have any friends that are being subjected to spam, tell them to go into their Facebook profile and mark it as spam, report it to Facebook, and never again let these phony apps lie to you again!
