Lets just imagine you are walking to your car. You fumble for your keys and as you finally get your keys out of your pocket, you also find out that your iPhone just flew out! Sadly your iPhone didn’t just fly on out of your pocket, but it also dropped onto the cold, hard, humiliating, and rugged pavement below. As you watch the inevitable happen right before your saddened eyes, you wonder if life will continue the same? How will you manage to take another breath without your life-consuming Facebook, Twitter and other social addictions? These are just a few of the thoughts and questions that fly by as you see your iPhone fly onto the ground and smash with a painfully loud sound!

You stoop down and pick up your sad and depressed iPhone. You are surprised because it is still working! HALLAJUUUAA! You are ecstatic with joy, because while your iPhone does have cracks, it still works! huurraayyy! The gray Apple of awesomeness hasn’t completely let you down. That is until you swipe to unlock and your finger catches on the fragmented edges of an angry glass shard. This is when you yelp with pain, agony, and anger! But all hope isn’t gone! So you set your iPhone down and drive off!

Now you find yourself sadly shelling out another $200 bucks at your local cell phone carriers shop. You sign another ugly yet necessary contract, and upgrade to the next newest piece of Apple technology! Your old iPhone with part of your finger is still left inside the car. Now the question is what will you do with it? The cool part is you don’t have to think anymore because we have come out with some pretty awesome things to do with your old and broken iPhone. Keep reading for extended awesomeness!

3 awesome things to do with a broken iPhone:

Burry it – Yes, this is one method that some are currently using to show their true sadness, homage, and respect towards their broken Apple products. In fact some are actually creating custom tomb stones and special burials for their iPhone. While this might seem a little ridiculous or crazy, you might want to show a little respect and give your iDevice a proper burial!

Burn it – Burning your iPhone is another way to do away with the sadness of its broken state and the withdrawals from your iAddiction. Burning your iPhone can potentially lead to a fireworks show or a minor explosion so we don’t recommend it here at the VaultFeed, however if you still haven’t found a good use for that old iPhone, why not pollute the environment and make a big bang out of it! Burning your iPhone can also lead to a very high return on investment if you video tape it and slap it on YouTube. People love to see things burn! But please, if you do decide to burn your iPhone, make sure to check if your country allows such an activity to take place. It would be a shame to pollute a city, country, or province where polluting isn’t cool. Just as a side note, you might not want to pollute. It isn’t that awesome anyways.

Sell It – If you and your iPhone still aren’t getting along too well, there is one thing that will solve this problem more then anything. You can take it and stomp, burn, burry it on or in the ground and take your anger out on it, but sadly this is financially endangering and sadly inappropriate. Your friends might think you need to be admitted to a mental ward, but the worst part is you won’t be doing your iPhone any good. You might get rid of the overflowing anger, however there are much better ways to deal with unhappiness caused by iPhone breakage. In fact a little cash might cheer you up. so why not sell your broken iPhone! It sure is more profitable then staring at it, stomping it with anger, or throwing it away. If you can find someone on Craigslist willing to buy your broken iPhone, this is one way, but you can also sell it for parts on eBay. OR there are also other new ways that prove to be fairly profitable and easy. You can instantly sell your iPhone to DeviceFlip.com, a trade-in company specializing in broken iPhones, or you can head over to CashitGadget.com. There are also other websites that offer “cash for your broken iPhone” programs that might get you more cash then your sadness can handle. So cheer up, getting cash isn’t that bad after all! To find out more: Learn More.

Now that you have burned, buried, or sold that broken iPhone, you can relax with your new iPhone in hand and continue with your complete addiction of Facebook, Twitter, or your favorite social addiction! just remember not to let your iPhone fly out of your pocket, because you are already paying for 2 contracts by now and a 3rd one would be a complete pity and disgrace to the wallet!

When it comes to new iPhones, Vault Feed tries to get on top of it fast! Today we have a new mockup design by a fellow youtube user featuring what they think the new iPhone AIR will look like. We don’t know for sure if the next iPhone will be called an iPhone AIR, however we do know that it will be different. Howe different we don’t know. This video however shows some cool new features that must of us would be happy to see in another new iPhone launch. One of which is the larger screen. I personally don’t get too excited about the new screen due to the fact that the iPhone is the only phone that my fingers can fully utilize, any bigger and I simply can’t use it efficiently! However this new iPhone idea seen in the video and pictures below features more then just a larger screen. It also features a set of new colors that this Youtube user believes could be a reality.

As you can see the design is also somewhat changed in this concept. The top of the device itself would be larger then the borrow with a slight tapir similar to the macbook AIR models. You can also see that they are introducing some interesting color variations within this concept. I don’t think Apple will adopt this, however it is interesting to see how it could work.

The one innovation that I think could truly simplify the iPhone is the top lock button. As you can see it serves a dual purpose as a lock switch and a button. This would help eliminate false button pressing when its in your pocket. That isn’t the main reason I think its cool, the main reason is that it eliminates another moving part on the iPhone. Combining those two buttons might be a smart idea if done right.

I also like the closer edge to edge design. I truly hope that Apple gets even closer to this idea of a complete 3D edge to edge display seen here: Edge-to-edge iPhone concept.

You can see the video below showcasing all the possible future features:

As you can see, its most likely not going to be the next iPhone, but its a concept to put in the back of your mind. If something does come of it, it will be interesting to see how it looks!

What do you think?

I have always wondered why the iPhone seems to sell for more lofty prices then other smartphones. Now this handy little chart truly tells us what price on average we are really paying. Most people that buy a smartphone are on a contract. And because of this the actual up-front charge on the retail of the device is not seen or fully realized. Your phone company however has to foot the extra cost attached to the retail price that Apple or any other device maker will charge. That charge is the remainder of the balance of the phones value. For example, if you buy an iPhone for $200 with a 2yr contract, your carrier that you signed the contract with will pay Apple the remainder $500 to equal the full retail of $699. You obviously don’t see the $699 price rage, however that truly is the price Apple tries to get for each of its flagship smartphones in some variations. In fact if you order the 64GB of the newest model, you will end up paying somewhere close to $400, and your carrier will still pay the $500. That is a mind boggling $900 for a 64GB iPhone at its newest state. Obviously these prices do fluctuate a little depending on your location, but for the most part this is an honest representation of the cost of your iPhone.

Other companies also do this same thing. Samsung for example does the same thing, however they don’t charge quite as much for their smartphones and this their yield on each is less. This is clearly seen as we check out the chart below brought to us by Statista via: Mashable.

Obviously numbers don’t tell the whole story, but for the most part you can see how skewed the bar graph is. The iPhone on average sells for around $675 each. The blackberry is the next most pricy device at $324. And then Windows and Android follow as some of the lowest priced smartphones.

The iPhone itself is built with a lot more quality “feel.” I love the Android for everything it has done, but for some reason every time I use one, I feel like it is “cheap.” This could be due the the extensive use of plastic and synthetic components, or it could be due to the fact that it isn’t worth as much. Either way, Apple has an advantage because their users know they paid a lot. They also are treated with services that tops Android or any other device carrier. This all lends to the price and adage: “you get what you pay for.” These seems to be the truth when it comes to the smartphone market and changing prices. If only the iPhone had Android many of us would make the switch purely out of love for really quality. Android has been known as a budget phone. More people can afford Android and therefore more people end up buying them. Cheaper isn’t better and you can see this by the consistent prices seen in even the old iPhone 3G smartphone created years ago! You can also see that the old 3G phone still holds up to speed tests as seen here: iPhone vs. iPhone.

When Android was first starting to gain it’s popularity they lacked the number of apps to sustain a thriving mobile OS experience. However the rise in usage has motivated developers to create apps on Android as well. There are also more Android users currently downloading apps because of that fact that app developers might get more sales via Android. The end result as seen bellow is a thriving Android app store and the data specifically for smartphones indicates a rise to over 700K apps apposed to only 600K in the iTunes store specifically designed for the iPhone. Its important to note that Apple screens their app submissions much more then the Google Play and Android. Some of Androids apps don’t actually work as well as many in the iTunes store because Apple scrutinizes each individual submission to make sure it stacks up their ideals. However Android is growing and gaining traction as one of the largest app stores against their arch-rival, iTunes.

It’s also interesting to note that most smartphone users are from the age of 25 to 34. The rest of the distribution is fairly even with the exception of 13-17 year old teenagers which only take up 6.3% if the handset by age pie. This does seem interesting but the most likely culprit of this is the price to own a smartphone is not affordable for many teenagers that have school expenses and other interests. This may be a little skewed due to the fact that the parents are the ones buying their teenagers the plan, and this the stats may be a little less. However it does seem to indicate that teenagers are not the largest group of people using smartphones. This is some interesting news for sure!

There is also some startling and highly informative data seen below. A special thanks to Coupon Audit for helping us collect and design this informative infographic.

#1 SellBrokeniPhone.co — If your looking for the easiest, safest, and best way to get rid of your broken device, SellBrokeniPhone.co is your best bet! They offer you a great price through DeviceFlip.com. Some devices that are broken tend to yield less cash benefit, however your broken device isn’t doing much good if its sitting around and collecting dust. SellBrokeniPhone.co gives you a price through DeviceFlip.com. Then you simply answer a few questions regarding the actual condition. For example, if you have a cracked screen iPhone to sell, you would select the condition for the “cracked screen.” This would obviously lower the price. However if your only other option is to let it sit around in a drawer, this isn’t to bad at all!

#2 Craigslist.org — If you want to take the time to sit down and post an add, Craigslist does have a user base of people willing to buy your old device. However they will most likely ask you a very low price since it is broken. Many of these Craigslist buyers will actually fix and then resell your phone internationally. However it can be dangerous and its important for you to be careful when dealing locally with people you don’t know and can’t see any track record of. Make sure you meet in a public place for extra safety. Sometimes you won’t get anyone interested in your broken iPhone, and sometimes it takes extra time and effort that may not be worth your time. That is why SellBrokeniPhone.co with DeviceFlip.com is a good place to sell with ease.

#3 eBay.com — eBay is a great marketplace for selling, but there are risks associated with eBay that many people don’t see at first. For example, if you sell your iPhone and the buyer decides that they don’t like anything about the phone, eBay will refund the buyer and sometimes won’t require the buyer to return the item. In this circumstance, you will loose the item you are trying to sell and the actual money that you got from selling the item. It gets worse though. You also loose the time associated with selling the device and listing it. You also lose the eBay fees that many sellers don’t know they are being charged. You also end up loosing the shipping you paid and the time it took you to ship it. This all can be a hassle if you don’t know exactly how to deal with eBay. If eBay decides at any time that you are not being “good” they will also refund ALL the open cases and you loose all your money and all your devices. Its a very unfortunate situation. If you understand the in’s and out’s of eBay then it can be a profitable way, but its important to be careful. Many people get scammed and loose their money on eBay on a daily basis.

Summary: If you are holding onto any broken iPhones or other electronic device, its a good idea to sell them or responsibly recycle them. Its always nice to get some money and feel good while recycling, and that is why Selling with SellBrokeniPhone.co is so great, however if you looking for a more rewarding and more time consuming selling method, choose eBay, to Craigslist. SellBrokeniPhone.co may give a better price then some other places, however it all depends on the condition of your item. You can visit DeviceFlip.com to get an instant quote, or go to SellBrokeniPhone.co for more information on selling. SellBrokeniPhone.co is also PayPal verified for payments and BBB Accredited so you know you can trust them.

If you have used any of these methods, please leave your feedback below.

Ciccaresedesign has come up with a lovely iPhone concept featuring an iPhone air concept. Looks like an iPad air, but it’s an iPhone! Its similar to the iPad air, but the concepts takes off of the main concepts and puts it with the iPhone. You can see in the images that it would include touch ID also as indicated by the ring. I’m not sure how I like concept. While it is a fresh of fresh air as far as concepts go, does it really do anything better? Does it really look any better?

While most iPhone renderings render useless, this concept might actually be the next iPhone! We’re not sure if Apple would really call it the iPhone-Air. That would seem fairly ridiculous, however why is the iPad called the iPad air?

The concept concept seen here somewhat mimics the older and previous iPhone 3G/3Gs design. However while the 3G/3Gs is considered old, the comfort in using a rounded back iPhone is something to be considered! The aluminum unibody design is similar to the iPad Air, but obviously much smaller. As far as thickness, this design doesn’t boast anything “Airish” about it. It’s no thinner, in fact it looks thicker.

The beautiful polished chamfer edges of this iPhone 6 idea make it stunning and beautiful. The probability of Apple naming the next iPhone the “iPad Air”, is slim, but the name will most likely assume the “iPhone 6.” This design would give a better rounded back panel for easier comfort while calling and surfing the web. However the square design of the iPhone 5/5S does seem to be a popular design. It won’t be easy to unseat the design trend of the iPhone and it’s squarely designed ideals.

I personally prefer the iPhone 5/5S design. It looks a little more professional. This iPhone air concept doesn’t really look fancier in any way. It just looks like an iPod, or maybe a older iPhone 3GS in a white color with a denotable aluminum back. I think Apple should stick with trend setting squarish design that is proving popular.

This design is new and carries a very slight possibility of success. What do you think about the iPhone Air design seen here?

It’s free and its an awesome app! The free Tadaa SLR iPhone app Turns Your images into SLR quality. The macro background created by this app is like none other!

The iPhone boasts as one of the best smartphones for taking pictures. The optics and aperture of the iPhone 5S is even better then the previous iPhone 5, however the all iPhone’s still lack that “SLR touch” that makes them unique in every way. However, all hope isn’t gone! New apps come to the iTunes app store daily offering better image editing for your already astonishing pictures. This app however is more then just another fancy editing app! In fact it will most likely change the way you take pictures possibly forever.

The Tadaa SLR app is a new addition to the free-section of Apple’s iTunes app store. The saying: “You pay for what you get”, isn’t the case with this app. It’s free, and its one incredible app! There aren’t a huge amount of annoying advertising to accompany this app also and the app itself offers some of the best editing capabilities ever!

The best part about Tadaa SLR app is that it actually produces the images it says it will. With this app, you simply select the region that is the subject and you can feather the edges with your finger to get the perfect area. When selected, you can continue to the next stage. The app incredibly changes the background to a perfect SLR looking macro effect. Not only does this app produce a stunning effect, but it makes your images look like they were taken on an expensive SLR camera! Of coarse thats what we all want right? This app does just this!

As you can see, the image above was edited from a dull and normal iPhone photo into a spectacular SLR style image with that perfect looking SLR background blur and all! You can also adjust the blur effect within that app for the perfect touch. You can also add other effects after preforming the SLR transformation. It’s an exciting new app that isn’t just awesome, but its FREE!

You can download the Tadaa SLR iPhone app on the iTunes app store today.

Download Tadaa SLR: iTunes Download

An online pole conducted by CIRP research has published gender specific data on iPhone color purchasing habits between the iPhone 5S, and iPhone 5C. We haven’t yet seen specific data released from Apple on unites sold of each, however this data does give us an idea of which color is preferred by which gender. The recent iPhone color preferences indicate an interesting correlation between the gender and the 3 different color options offered by Apple.

The iPhone 5S and 5C has been in consumers hands since September 20, but It was first launched on the 13th of September. Since then, Apple has sold an exponential 9-million iPhones within the first week. This is just a beginning for Apple’s iPhone sales and it continues to grow.

The Apple iPhone 5C has seen less success and sales indicated by Apple’s recent decrease in 5C production. The iPhone 5S however is true to nature and has sold the best as Apple’s flagship device. The Apple iPhone accounts for the greatest portion of Apple sales and revenue.

Below are the gender based iPhone color preferences revealed by new research!

As you can see, the iPhone 5S is most popularly purchased in the space grey color variation, and then most popular in gold. It seems that the gold iPhone was not purchased as much. This could be due to the fact that the Gold iPhone 5S was sold out, so people simply opted for the silver or the space grey variation. You can also see that the yellow iPhone 5C is the least popular color. The blue however seems to be the most popular iPhone 5C model.

Male gender iPhone buyers chose the color white over the other color options. This seems understandable considering there are no other neutral colors available for the 5C. You can also see that the pink colored iPhone was purchased more by the women gender. This makes perfect sense considering the color pink often being associated with women as the preferred color. This color gender research on the iPhone indicates that this association is evident through iPhone purchases.

The space grey iPhone 5S did in fact win the “most popular color” award in this research. Male purchasers of the iPhone 5S did choose the space grey option over the other colors. They also seemed to choose the gold and silver 5S colors equally as likely. Female gender iPhone buyers chose the space grey version also! They then chose silver as their secondary color preference, and least chose the gold color. Many buyers wanted the gold color, however they were sold out of stores the minute they were launched! I believe that gold color shortage caused loyal iPhone fans to simply purchase the next best option that was available. This could be the reason for the results given in the graphic above.

In fact the gold colored iPhone 5S actually sold on eBay for over $10,000 in one instance. The iPhone 5S in gold does however sell for the highest price on auction sites around the internet. The average price as of today for the 16GB gold iPhone 5S off-contract seems to get around $750-$900 US.

Which is your favorite color?

The Apple iPhone 5 was last year’s flagship model. This 10,000 domino fall iPhone sequence and video is crazy, especially if you haven’t seen it yet.

Some of this is done by visual effects and is fake, however some of it is real! Many people post drop tests, and other torture test’s to the iPhone 5, however this is somewhat different. The Aatma Studios crew created and published this video seen below visualizing exactly 10,000 iPhones falling like dominos. While some scenes may be fake, the general idea is a cool one! You can see the 10,000 iPhone 5 domino video below.

10,000 iPhone 5 Domino Video:

Crazy videos showing iPhones falling off of buildings, iPhone vs 50 caliber, and drop tests seem to be the extent of YouTube’s creativity, however with the newest software advancements, nearly anything is possible. The augmented reality seen in this video showing iPhones in domino effect is the best “iPhone” related video weber seen yet!

iPhones As you can see this would be somewhat impossible without the UI manipulations that occurs in visualization studios. The first part I believe could potential be somewhat real. However the colors of the iPhones change and alternate too consistently to be raw and real video.

Even though its partially fake, it’s totally awesome! This video shows just how cool technology and software has advanced in the video manipulation industry. Mind you, this video was “just for fun” and somewhat of a show real marketing effort on the part of Aatma Studios, however nonetheless its the coolest thing to see!

If they had to buy each one of these iPhones themselves it would have cost just $7,140,000.00 just for the iPhones themselves! Its a good thing that software is advancing enough to save people over $7,140,000 when producing videos like these.
