Although we cannot confirm it appears that Bitmain has not run out of pre-orders which is a strong indicator that they have not sold very fast.  This being said, there may be some opportunity as others won’t be able to purchase this miner and the profitability will most likely stay fairly consistent without any massive hikes in difficulty.  The good part about this is if you DO end up being one of the lucky first purchasers of the Antminer X3, you will be earning some huge revenue at first.  In fact, after just 2 months you should be able to pay for this miner according to our estimates after buying the Antminer X3 Batch 1. This is not investment advice and you should be careful as with all crypto investments, but we do believe this miner may be one of the most profitable miners ever released from any ASIC manufacture ever.

We’ve seen bitmain throw some interesting products out in the public for purchase, but this one is quite puzzling.  In fact what’s even weirder is it appears like this has been rebranded from another model.  If you see the image above, you can see a new white label has been plastered on top of what appears to be similar to the body seen with the AntMiner S9 ~ 11.85TH/s miner.  This model may be an under-clocked S9, or s9 body with s7 hashing board internals.

Bitmain claims that this Antminer v9 is specifically designed for long-term use in bitcoin mining. For the price it isn’t too terrible if you have free energy, but if you don’t have free energy, you might want to consider something else as this V9 might not be profitable at all – which begs the question, WHY bitmain? Why would you create something ‘all-new’ that’s completely inferior to any other mining rig available today? – The only conclusion we can come to is Bitmain probably had some old boards they wanted to get rid of to make room for new product.  Bitmain also will ONLY sell you the Antminer V9 in units of 5X QTY.  So if you want to buy the Antminer V9, expect to buy at least a minimum of 5X units.  Or you can find them on other sites individually here: Buy Antminer V9.

Conclusion:

If you’re looking for a more reliable bitcoin miner with a cheap price tag, this might not be a bad idea, but ONLY if your power consumption cost is either free, or VERY cheap. With Bitcoin at it’s current price around $8000 and rising, these miners may be more valuable in the future, but at this time we don’t advise buying the Antminer V9, unless you have very affordable power, or if you want to speculate on the Bitcoin price going up.  Will we buy the Bitmain Antminer V9? The Antminer A3 is the most powerful Antminer which mines using the algorithm Blake2B. This coin is algorithm is currently only employed by Siacoin. Siacoin is a coin that is used for a cloud-based storage platform which uses the Siacoin as a currency to pay for storage at a huge discount vs. Amazon S3 and Dropbox. The Antminer A3 has recently released this January 2018.  The first batch owners were earning up to an equivalent per month of $21,541. Before you buy the Antminer A3 – Things to consider

• Can the site I’m buying from be trusted? — It’s very important to choose who you buy from wisely. The popularity of Bitcoin has given an open gate to many scammers claiming to sell you high-dollar mining equipment ad a low price if you purchase with bitcoin, but sadly many of these sites are complete scams and they’re just placed to try and lure you in and steal your bitcoin. Since there is no recourse to get your Bitcoin back, it’s a scammers playground. It’s important that you ONLY buy from well-verified sources.  We advise buying from sites that use secure payment options like eBay or Amazon. These trusted sites offer protection, while other sites do not offer any protection and may scam you.
• Where should I purchase my Antminer A3 from? Should I choose eBay, or the Bitmain? — The price may seem very tempting, but don’t forget to check the ship date, and don’t forget to account for the customs charges into your country and long wait times. While Bitmain’s prices are always cheaper, they don’t reflect the loss in profitability of that unit after the actual ship date. The Antminer A3 might be making $2000/month now, but after Bitmain ships, thousands of A3’s in the next batch, your profitability could go down to only $100/month which is virtually a waste of your money – This is why we advise buying from eBay or Amazon if the seller can ship immediately.  This way you will have buyer protection if the seller ships a defective or broken product, AND you can start mining right away before the difficulty increases so much that the miner is not as profitable. Bitmain also only opens their batches of products when the price of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is VERY low. This way, they receive your BCH at a terrible exchange rate.  When the price goes back up, you could have just cashed out and bought a more expensive one without having to wait as the difficulty rises and profitability decreases.
• Increasing difficulty VS. lost revenue from late ship dates — Most people who buy the Antminer don’t think about what the profitability will be in the future. This way they end up buying at the wrong times and losing badly. Late ship dates = VERY bad for profitability. You can take it from us. Our team here at VaultFeed.com purchased 3 Antminer S9’s in December, 2017 for $2750 each, with a ship date of mid-February. We could have bought Antminer S9’s for about $5000 each on eBay and Amazon, but we wanted the cheaper ones for $2750.  The profitability was about $60/day for 3 of our Antminer S9’s in December 2017.  But our Antminers just shipped today (February 6, 2018) and sadly the profitability for the Antminer S9 is not only $15/day for all 3 of our Antminer S9’s. If we had purchased the ones sooner from eBay at a premium, we easily would have mined enough to cover the extra cost and more.  Now our $8000+ dollar investment is virtually a waste now that the 3X Antminer S9 is only earning $15/day.  We bought one of the Antminer A3’s for around $3000 in the first batch and we’ll most likely earn enough to pay for the initial investment in 2-3 months which is very good for any investment.
• Siacoin price and possible new coins for Blake2b Algorithm — Siacoin has an actual use in this world as a payment method for the most secure and decentralized worldwide file storage service. We personally think that Siacoin being valued currently around 3-4 cents could be worth a lot more in the future.  In fact many people online believe it will jump to over $1 by the end of 2018 if it gets listed on Binance and other exchanges.  Siacoin has huge potential and is at a very low value right now for it’s current market cap standing. Although we can never see the future, we believe the price has more potential to rise exponentially than any other currency due to it’s utility and low price vs. market cap.

Our summary – buying the Antminer A3

It’s our advice that those wanting to buy the Antminer A3 should be very careful of Bitmain’s late ship dates. There’s a VERY low chance that those who buy from bitmain now for the discounted price will ROI on their investment if they ship by the end of March. We personally advise eBay and Amazon for our valid points. 

We would advise people to pay slightly more if you can start mining right away. We’ve even seen some Antminer A3’s available for around $2000-3000 shipping immediately on eBay. If you can pick up something around $2000-$3000 that can begin mining right away with the low difficulty, it’s far better than buying at a slight discount and forfeiting the low difficulty that miners are enjoying at this current time of writing.

We also STRONGLY do not advise paying ridiculous prices for the Antminer A3 – Some people on eBay think they can overcharge for the Antminer A3 by about 50%. Never buy the Antminer A3 for $10,000 please, it’s a waste of your money. Just keep your eyes open and you’ll find one for around $2500-4000.  If you cannot receive the Antminer within a few days, DO NOT BUY.  It’s very dangerous to buy pre-orders as you have no clue how the difficulty will be affected at that future ship date, therefore we advise buying only items that are on hand.  IN fact, eBay is now canceling many pre-orders on Antminer A3’s due to the extreme risk that they pose.

Bitmain, the company most well known for its ASIC chips just released a mining machine that mins at 815,000 GH/s. It mines the Blake2b algorithm which at the current moment only applies to Siacoin SC coin. The Antminer A3, however, is the first ASIC to hit the market to mine with this algorithm and many people believe the market could be flooded with way too many Antminer A3’s to sustain the need for hashing power, thus causing the difficulty to rise so sharply that these machines will be worthless soon.  This could be accurate, but we’d like to speculate on the bright side when it comes to the Antminer A3 profitability.

The first Antminer A3 batch according to our estimation was sold 11,000 times. People are just now starting to receive them and you can see the difficulty skyrocketing at this time (See picture below courtesy of SiaMining.com profitability stats)

With the given uptrend in difficulty, the question on everyone’s minds is: Will mining (SC Sia IA Coin) Siacoin still be profitable in 2018?

Analysis and profitability guess for the future of the Antminer A3

(Not to be taken as investment advice, it’s our own opinion and depends upon Bitmain releasing another batch, other factors etc.)

If Sia coin gets listed on Binance, we could see the following profitability from the Antminer A3 including price increase based on what happend to DASH after Antminer D3 was released:

If Sia coin is not listed on other exchanges such as Binance, the Price could stabilize around no more than .090 SC/USD within 21 weeks or aprox. 5.25 Months.

It’s easy to get scared when we look at the debacle that went down when Bitmain released and over-sold the Antminer D3 for Dash Crypto. They sold an estimated 35,000+ (Number taken from various reports around the internet, no actual number was ever released) however it’s important to look at the correlation between the price of Dash and the difficulty of Dash.  This can give us an idea of the future for the Antminer A3 which we believe was even less over-sold than that of the Antminr D3)

From the merged graph below, you can see what happened to the difficulty of DASH and also the price of DASH after the first X11 DASH miners were released (See image below Blue line is USD value and light purple is DIFFICULTY) The dash price doubled over 400$ from its original value when the D3 was launched. If the same happens, Antminer A3 owners who paid around $2500/each will ROI within 2-3 months respectively, or soon if listing on Binance ends up happening.

As seen in the transposed image above the price (Blue) followed the difficulty (purple) but only nearly 30 days later. We could see something similar happening to SC Siacoin in the future. The Sia community has decided against hard forking which we believe was a very positive step in the right direction. The first batch owners that bought the Antminer A3 shouldn’t be too worried, however, ROI may take over 2 months or more.  Also, if SC coin gets listed on Binance such as SC/BTC and SC/ETH, we should see some 400-800% increases which will make the mining now more valuable in the future.  It’s a good idea to hold long on SC in our opinion, but before purchasing the Antminer A3, please check the Antminer profitability below:

It’s my current belief that if the competition stays so that we can earn around $2000-3000 and if my tentative analysis of the D3 correlates at all with the A3 situation, the A3 that’s far more profitable than the Antminer S9 for Bitcoin/BCH.

The iOS 7 delivers a whole new interactive visual experience. The home screen is equipped with motion sensors. Tilt the phone slightly and the display screen will follow, giving its users a 3D-like multi-layered experience.

New Control Center

Swiping up from the bottom will bring up the Control Center, which is probably the most important improvement in this release. With a simple swipe from the Control Center screen, it can activate or switch off a number of services like Wi-Fi, Airplane mode and Bluetooth.

It can also adjust screen brightness or the sound level, instantly hook up with other iOS systems via AirPlay , or turn on a flashlight , calculator , camera and timer . Additionally, the AirDrop function now supports simultaneous iOS connections via a secure peer-to-peer wireless connection.

iOS 7 is a huge improvement and is the first operating system of it’s kind designed exclusively to work with a 64 bit operating system, this make its faster, more capable and generally an all round slicker experience.

We can only see this one getting better and it’s up to Android to ensure that their next release is suited to 64 bit too if they want to compete, especially as Samsung announced this week that their next generation of smartphones will be carrying 64 bit processors. Yet in it’s current form Android won’t be able to offer 64 bit support.

2 entrepreneurs have set out to accomplish the duty of making student’s painful experiences less painful.  Josh B, and Rocky sims are currently working on a project called Academic Path  This project aims at solving many issues that plague institutions every day.  The Academic Path team has identified a huge sore spot in the way students signup and manage their degree path.  “Students actually have more confusion then they honestly should during the course sign-up phase of their academics” said Dan, a previous academic consular for Military Science at Montana State.

This confusion often noted during many students academic path is a problem that many schools have tried to fix by implementing software like “Degree Works” and other cloud based programs.  “Many academic software providers have attempted to fix this, however the software they provide is inferior and defect of many core features that make our Academic Path software far superior” said co-founder Josh, in a recent interview.  Both Josh, and Rocky have started Academic Path to seriously re-contemplate the way you sign-up for your degree!  “The finish product will be better then any software to date that can helps students and counselors” noted Josh, earlier today.

This software will provide an essential upgrade to the worldwide academic system enabling students to visualize their degree in new ways.  Many students have confusion when it comes to that time of the month when early-regrestration hits!  “Sometimes I don’t know where I really stand in my series of necessary classes because I feel its always changing.  I’m always heading to the quickest academic advisor for status updates on my currant degree position” said Andrew Ezpeleta, a Walla Walla university student.  However Rocky and Josh are determined to work as hard as it takes to make sure students around the world don’t have this problem anymore.

Josh and Rocky co-founder’s of the Academic Path project have spent countless hours exploring the possibilities and have come up with an excellent alternative to the traditional degree and course syllabus.  An estimated 85% of all the currant academic institutions still provide students a paper-back degree syllabus.  “A paper back syllabus!  This is way old fashioned” says Josh of Academic Path.

The primary goal of Academic Path is to visualize and efficiently put all of the academic counseling activities in one place.  It will be easily accessible at any time.  Instead of students calling in for an academic advising appointment, students will now be able log in and view their academic path all in one place!  “Students will login and see a visual map, a  representation of all necessary classes all in one place!”  The “academic map” idea that Josh and Rocky are currently working on will seriously change the way students manage their academic degrees.

“Why do we still need paper maps?  Today most of all the paper road maps have been replaced with a digital representation, the GPS.  Academic Path is aiming to provide this same upgrade to the current course and degree “maps” that students are being given every day.  If a certain institution doesn’t feel the need for this upgrade, we can provide a completely improved paper-back edition to your degree syllabus along with a corresponding cloud based academic counseling software.”  Josh and Rocky seem to be on to something awesome!  Who knows where it will really go from here?

Rocky and Josh have most of the software ready to deploy, however many other features will come soon!  Some of the future updates to the Academic Path software will include, “SimilarDegrees” integrated class browsing, Social Facebook linking for classes, and the biggest thing, the “CourseGPS.
