LG Copies Apple’s Marketing Stunt: Lost LG Nexus 5 Found In Bar! [VIDEO]

Someone left their LG Nexus 5 in a bar and now LG is all over the news.  Do you remember the news blast a few years back about the “lost iPhone 4 in bar” ?  Apple made thousands of headlines and made tech history with this and got millions of dollars in free advertising.  The iPhone 4 sold like crazy and it was partially fueled by the media-blitz of the “lost iPhone 4 found in bar.”  It seems that Apple’s marketing stunt was copied by another competitor.

This report comes from RedmondPie reporting that a LG Nexus 5 running the new Android KitKat 4.4 was found unattended in a bar.  Can you believe that?  It was just left unattended in a bar?  Now its on the news.

Could LG and Android be copying Apple’s clever marketing stunt to get free media coverage?  These smartphone-times are different.  Companies are forced with rising competition to do some crazy things and this stunt seems to be getting a little old.  In fact the “lost iPhone 4 found in bar” back a few years ago was also a little old, but now this!  Come on LG!

You can see the Video showing the lost LG Nexus 5 found in bar report.

Could this really be real?  Is this really a mistake by the LG Quality Check team, or is it an inside plan by LG to get more media exposure.  To be honest thats sure what it seems!  Especially when a nearly identical circumstance happened a few years back a few months prior to the launch of the iPhone 4.  I guess LG thought that this clever marketing stunt by Apple was worth repeating, OR someone is stupid and left it in a bar.

Do people really just “leave” their prototype phones sitting in bars?  It seems to me that this has to be an inside plan by LG.
